Email on your own domain does two jobs: it looks like a real business, and it keeps your correspondence out of a personal inbox. A message from hello@yourcompany.com is opened and trusted more often than the same message from a free address — that difference matters most in exactly the moment you're trying to win work.
Every mailbox includes IMAP and POP3 for the desktop and phone clients you already use, plus a webmail client for when you're on someone else's machine. Spam and virus filtering run before anything reaches you, and SPF, DKIM and DMARC records are set up correctly so that your mail lands in inboxes instead of spam folders.
Because email is separate from your website hosting, a problem with one never takes down the other — which is not true when both share a small shared-hosting account.
Look established from day one, and keep company mail out of personal accounts.
info@, sales@ and support@ routed to whoever is handling them this week.
One professional address that stays with you across every client and project.
Keep your history — we import from Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP provider during setup.
Whether your mail is delivered has less to do with what you write than with three DNS records. SPF lists the servers allowed to send as your domain. DKIM signs each message so the recipient can prove it was not altered. DMARC tells receiving servers what to do when a message fails those checks.
Get them wrong — or leave them missing, which is the usual case when someone sets up email themselves — and Gmail and Outlook quietly file your invoices and quotes as spam. There is no error message; the mail simply is not read.
We configure all three correctly when your domain is set up, and we maintain the reputation of the sending IPs so your mail is not judged by someone else's behaviour. If a specific recipient still is not receiving you, support can read the delivery logs and tell you exactly where it was rejected.
Migration runs over IMAP, which means we copy rather than move: your folder structure, read and unread state, history and attachments are recreated on our servers while everything stays exactly as it is at your old provider.
You keep receiving mail at the old address throughout, because nothing changes until you update your domain's MX records. Once you have logged in, checked your folders and confirmed it all arrived, you make that change and new mail starts arriving with us. Only then is it safe to close the old account.
For most people the whole process is an evening's work, and support can run it with you rather than handing you instructions.
Still deciding? Our team will tell you honestly which plan fits — even if it's a cheaper one.
